The School Innovation Marathon 2024 is an initiative by the Ministry of Education, Atal Innovation Mission (AIM), NITI Aayog, and Ministry of Education’s Innovation Cell (MIC), AICTE. It invites students from classes 6th to 12th across India to participate in a nationwide innovation challenge. Theme of School Innovation Marathon 2024
The theme for the School Innovation Marathon 2024 is “Viksit Bharat 2047”. This vision focuses on transforming India into a developed nation by the year 2047. Student teams are encouraged to identify problems related to this theme and create innovative solutions in the form of working prototypes.
Eligibility Criteria
All students from classes 6th to 12th in schools across India are eligible to participate in the School Innovation Marathon 2024.
Objectives of the School Innovation Marathon
- Foster innovation and creativity among school students.
- Equip students with problem-solving skills.
- Encourage students to address real-world community issues.
- Provide hands-on experience in developing working prototypes.
- Offer exposure to professional environments through internships and incubation opportunities.
- Promote a culture of entrepreneurship among young innovators.
Prizes and Recognition
Participation certificates will be provided to all teams. Additionally, special certificates will be awarded to:
- Top 20 teams from each state
- Top 20 teams from rural areas
- Top 20 teams from government schools
- Top 20 teams from Aspirational Districts
- Top 20 teams with children with special needs
Top teams will also receive:
- Funding support from the Ministry of Education
- Student Internship Programme (SIP) with incubators facilitated by AIM
- Student Entrepreneurship Programme (SEP) facilitated by AIM
- Patenting support and guidance facilitated by MIC
