The SCERT Inter-College Lesson Plan/LTM Competition 2024 is organized by the State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT), Delhi. This competition is open to all B.Ed. and B.El.Ed. students from degree colleges, institutions, and universities in Delhi and NCR. Objectives of the Competition
This competition is designed to:
- Encourage student-teachers to develop innovative Lesson Plans and Teaching Learning Materials (TLM) based on NEP 2020 recommendations.
- Provide a platform to showcase and reflect on innovative teaching ideas and concepts.
- Foster a competitive spirit that drives excellence in professional teaching careers.
- Highlight the best practices in the teaching-learning process through creative pedagogy.
Eligibility Criteria
All B.Ed. and B.El.Ed. students from Delhi and NCR degree colleges, institutions, and universities are eligible to participate in this competition.
Instructions for Submissions
The competition is divided into three categories based on class levels:
- Classes 6th to 8th
- Classes 9th to 10th
- Classes 11th to 12th
Submissions can be made in any one of the following subject areas:
- Languages
- Social Sciences
- Mathematics
- Natural Sciences
- Applied Subjects (if any, under the general categories mentioned above)
Guidelines for Developing Lesson Plans/TLMs
- All Lesson Plans should incorporate at least one of the following pedagogical methods to enhance learning:
- Sports Integration
- Storytelling Method
- Art Integration
- Universal Design of Learning
- Differentiated Learning
- Case Study Method
- Inquiry-Based Method
- Lesson Plans should be designed for delivery within 35-40 minutes.
- Incorporate specific instructions for inclusive classrooms, such as accommodations for autistic children or visually impaired learners.
- Include references to NEP 2020 to outline the objectives.
- Consider incorporating Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), 21st Century Skills, or addressing cultural diversity in the lesson plan.
- All submissions should be in PDF format or an instructional video of the TLM.
- The first page of the Lesson Plan must include the student’s details: Name, Enrollment Number, Father’s Name, College/Institution/University Name.
- A plagiarism report and a copyright certificate must accompany the submission.
Assessment Criteria
Lesson Plans/TLMs will be evaluated based on the following criteria:
- Originality and creativity of the idea
- Alignment with NEP 2020 guidelines
- Incorporation of innovative pedagogies
- Quality of presentation (submitted in video format)
- Comprehensiveness of the Lesson Plan
- Multidisciplinary approach
- Effective integration of ICT
- Time management
- Effectiveness for classroom application
- Consideration of previous learner knowledge
- Cost-effectiveness
- Continuous and active participation of learners
- Inclusivity and accommodation for Divyang (differently-abled) students
- Assessment scope across different learner domains
