The D&H Secheron Electrodes Young Engineers Competition 2024, hosted by the IIW-India Cochin Branch and IIW-India Foundation, is a prestigious event aimed at showcasing the skills and creativity of young engineers. Competition Guidelines
- Each team of up to three young engineers must prepare a written paper on the given theme. Oral presentations will be made by two team members, with the third as a standby.
- Written papers should be between 3,000 and 4,000 words, excluding exhibits and charts. Papers must be in MS Word format, A4 size, with Arial font size 12, double-spaced.
- Papers should include a 500-word synopsis, a table of contents, and a list of references. The soft copy should be emailed to parappilgk[AT]yahoo.com.
- Each organization can sponsor multiple teams. Qualified teams will be invited for an online presentation, and must be present 10 minutes before their allotted time.
- Failure to attend the online presentation on time will result in disqualification. The decision of the Indian Institute of Welding will be final.
