What is ICSSR National Argumentative Essay Writing Competition?
The National Argumentative Essay Writing Competition for Young Scholars is organized by the Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR). Participants must be full-time, bona fide students at their respective universities/institutions on the day of submission. Categories of Essay Writing Competition
The ICSSR invites entries for the competition in three categories:

Eligibility & Entry Rules
Please read the eligibility and entry rules before submission:
- Participants must be full-time bona fide students at the affiliated university/institution on the day of submission.
- Affiliating institutions must be recognized by the Ministry of Education (MoE) or UGC.
- Entries accepted in Hindi or English with a 1,500-word limit.
- Submissions will undergo three stages of blind evaluation.
- Participants must not reveal their identities in the submission.
- Entries must be in PDF format, adhering to MLA 9 guidelines.
- Entries should be original and unpublished. Use of AI or plagiarized material will lead to disqualification.
- Only one entry per participant; co-authored entries are not allowed.
- Submission deadline is 8 October 2024; late submissions will not be accepted.
- Queries about prizes will only be entertained after results are declared.
- The ICSSR reserves the right to interpret guidelines and resolve any issues.
