About the Youth Climate Conclave Photography Competition 2024
The Youth Climate Conclave (YCC) 5th Edition Photography Competition is an initiative organized by GIZ, CEEW, and Climate Fresk. It encourages young minds across India to capture the essence of climate action through photography. The competition is open to individuals aged between 10 and 25 years, with a deadline of October 1, 2024. Winners will be awarded e-certificates and a chance to participate in the prestigious 5th Edition Youth Climate Conclave.

Photography Competition Theme
Theme: Climate Action for the Future We Want!
Task: Participants are required to submit original photographs that highlight positive climate actions, especially by children and youth, in relation to climate change. The submissions should present a forward-thinking perspective on how youth can contribute to a sustainable future.
Who Can Participate?
The competition is divided into two age categories:

| Category B | 19 – 25 years |
The competition is open to individuals of all backgrounds from across India, irrespective of caste, race, gender, or physical ability.
Guidelines for Participation
- Each participant can submit only one photograph.
- Each photograph must include a tagline of no more than 15 words.
- Photographs should be in high resolution (minimum 2 MB), JPG format, with at least 2000 pixels and 200 dpi.
- Entries must be original, free of plagiarism, and without watermarks.
- Photographs must be free from any obscene or provocative content.
- Minor edits like contrast adjustments and color correction are allowed, but the addition or removal of objects is not permitted.
Judging Criteria
The entries will be judged based on the following criteria:
- Resolution and clarity of the photograph
- Meaningfulness and impact of the photograph
- Relevance to the theme
Awards and Recognition
- Winners will receive e-certificates and attractive prizes.
- The top 12 photographs will be featured in the YCC 2025 Calendar and displayed at a special exhibition.
- Winners will also get the opportunity to attend the Youth Climate Conclave and the World Sustainable Development Summit (WSDS) 2025.
