NIDM Poster/Painting Competition 2024: Showcase Your Creativity and Build Resilience
The National Institute of Disaster Management (NIDM) is thrilled to announce the Poster/Painting Competition 2024. This competition invites students from Class IX to XII to express their creativity and contribute to disaster risk reduction awareness through their artwork. The theme for this year’s competition is “Youth in Action: Building Resilience,” commemorating the International Day on Disaster Risk Reduction. The final date for submissions is 8th September 2024.

What is the NIDM Poster/Painting Competition?
The NIDM Poster/Painting Competition 2024 aims to raise awareness among school students about the importance of building resilient communities for disaster risk reduction. This competition provides a platform for students from Class IX to XII to showcase their artistic skills and contribute to a critical cause.

How to Submit Your Entry
Entries should be submitted through the respective State Disaster Management Authorities (SDMAs) via school authorities. SDMAs will forward the top two entries from each state to NIDM for final selection. Send entries to:

Guidelines for the Poster/Painting Competition
- The competition is conducted at the national level through SDMAs.
- Entries are invited from schools recognized by CBSE/ICSE/State Boards.
- Participants can submit only one painting, which must be on an A3 sheet.
- The painting can be created using any medium such as crayons, colored pencils, or watercolors.
- Each painting should include the participant’s name, class, age, gender (F/M), contact details (full address, phone number, pin code, and email) on the back, not on the painting.
- Schools may submit up to three best entries to their SDMA. SDMAs will select the top two entries per state for the national level.
- The top three winners at the national level will receive cash prizes, certificates of recognition, and mementos/medals. The winners will be announced on 9th October 2024 in New Delhi.
- Entries not adhering to the guidelines or timeline will be rejected.
- All rights for the utilization of the submitted paintings will remain with the organizers.
